We love the iPhone 6, its undoubtedly along with the 6S is the most user-friendly device made. It became one of the largest selling devices of 2015 thanks to it’s considerably bigger size and better features than its predecessors. The iPhone 6 does comes with a couple of minor flaws. In this post we’ll discuss them and give you solutions should you need them!
1. iPhone 6 Screen susceptible to breaking:
The design of the 6th generation iPhone is elegant and utterly beautiful. Its performance and usability is industry leading. We’ve talked briefly about this in an earlier post but the weak point is in the structure and rigidity of the device. 2. Hard to hold: Don’t get us wrong here, we’re into the all metal body and curved edges. However, it does make the device quite hard to hold. If you’re coming from an earlier generation iPhone then you’ll know exactly what we’re talking about! When you hold the device it literally feels like it’s going to slip out of your hand and onto the concrete. With a price tag of $1k – it’s not a nice feeling.
Solution: The obvious solution to this is a case. Unfortunately not everyone likes having a case – it takes away the beauty of Apples minimalist design and also makes the device chunky. Another alternative is getting a skin which is basically just a layer of removable plastic that sticks to your iPhone, barely adding any size or bulk to the phone but giving you that necessary grip. iPhone skins come in a wide variety of designs and colours, you can even create your own!
3. App issues: Many users have complained about certain applications lagging or not even opening at all. More often than not this happens due to bug’s within the application, if you don’t see any reviews that mention a bug, then it’s probably not the most up to date version. Solution: There’s a few ways to do this: go into: Settings> General > Software Update. Or you can update your apps via iTunes. On your computer go to the iTunes store, you will see a list of your apps, then select update all. We recommend automating this process by turning on automatic updates in iTunes settings. If these solutions don’t work and the problem still persists, then you may want to take a look at a list of iOS versions that the app is compatible with.
4. Keyboard lag: A common problem with the latest iOs update is Keyboard lag. Many people have noticed a lag when typing with the iPhone 6 keyboard. If you are having the same problem, don’t worry there is a solution.
Solution: If you are facing keyboard lag on your iPhone 6, we recommend turning off “Documents and Data” in settings. You can do this by going to: Settings>iCloud>Documents and data. If everything seems normal after this then you can turn it back on and it shouldn’t cause the same problem. If it does persists, try restarting your iPhone. If it still doesn’t work, try resetting all settings by going to: General>Settings>Reset All Settings. The other thing you can do is make sure you’re up to date with the latest i0S as Apple normally fix’s these issues with a new update.
